第29屆奥斯卡最佳電影歌曲是1956年希區考克導演的電影「擒兇記（The Man Who Knew Too Much）」插曲，由女主角桃樂絲戴 (Doris Day)演唱的「Que Sera, Sera（Whatever Will Be, Will Be）」。三段式的歌詞裡從小女孩對未來的憧憬、到長大後對戀愛的不確定，一路唱到結婚生子為人母的心情。在電影裡桃樂絲戴飾演一位目睹謀殺案的醫生妻子，不料他的兒子竟遭到兇手綁架當作人質，當她企圖發信號營救被囚禁的兒子時，電影就是以這首「Que Sera, Sera（Whatever Will Be, Will Be）」當作配樂，隨著電影在台上映的轟動，使得這首西班牙風味的主題曲，也成為台灣西洋樂迷最經典的記憶。 (from 台北之音)

真可惜現在才聽到這首歌，因為這正是我國中的問題啊!我總是害怕未來，害怕未知，對一切抱著不確定。不過高一時，已經在殷非凡的開導下解決了問題。現在覺得以前真是少年不識愁滋味，為賦新詞強說愁啊!
Que Sera, Sera 千萬不要試著用英文來翻譯這句，因為這是西班牙文，意思就是Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours to see 大略就是we cannot see the future，但是她也強調了未來不是我們的。可以套用到其他地方，如：The money's not ours to cost、The cat is not yours to take home...
What lies ahead 可以直接翻成「什麼在前方躺著」，也就是未來的道路上有著什麼在等著。
